Cassida — the story of a motorsport icon
1. Birth of a legend (1975)
Cassida was established in Czechoslovakia in 1975, during a time when quality motorcycle gear was scarce. The state-owned Tvar Pardubice factory launched a line of protective helmets that quickly dominated the local market. Simple yet reliable Cassida models became an essential part of socialist motorsport and protected entire generations of riders.
2. The golden era
The iconic full-face model with its distinctive stripe, the classic open “coconut” helmet and the off-road version with a plastic peak became symbols of the time. Bright designs made Cassida stand out against the monotonous products typical of the era and helped the brand earn a cult status.
3. The pause after 1989
After the 1989 revolution, local production could not keep up with Western competition and the new safety requirements. Cassida disappeared from the market for nearly 25 years, surviving only in riders’ memories.
4. Revival of the brand (2015)
In 2014–2015 a team of Czech enthusiasts revived Cassida. Design and development were entirely taken over by local specialists with a clear mission — to bring the historic brand back to life while keeping its original spirit.
5. Present-day lineup
Today Cassida offers fiberglass and polycarbonate helmets across multiple categories: city, touring, sport and retro. Each helmet comes in several colour options with comfortable, removable and fully replaceable interiors.
6. Technology & production
Cassida helmets are manufactured by carefully selected and verified factories. All models undergo strict lab testing, and active riders participate in development, ensuring practical, real-world usability.
7. Safety first
From 2015 to 2021 all helmets met the ECE 22.05 certification.
Since 2022 Cassida has been transitioning to the stricter ECE 22.06 standard, which introduces additional impact points, more demanding tests and stricter visor-tint limitations.
8. Cassida SOS system
Selected full-face and MX models include the Cassida SOS emergency release system. It allows rescuers to remove the lower interior pads while the helmet is still on the rider, reducing the risk of neck injury.
9. Motorsport presence
Cassida actively supports young talents, influencers and motorsport ambassadors. Their visibility further strengthens the position of the revived Czech brand.
10. Bright future
Cassida continues to expand its range — from accessories and spare parts to new collections of goggles and care products. The goal remains unchanged: to create stylish, reliable and affordable helmets for every rider.
